TGIF / Follow Friday
Brought to you by the lovely Ginger @ GReads
Friday, June 1st - Issue Books: Which books have you found to be very rewarding when it comes to tackling tougher issues?
I think thjs question is really tough for me. A lot of the “popular” tough issue books? I just can’d get into. (Room was a real let down for me, Thirteen Reasons Why just didn’t work for me either.) So I had to do a lot of thinking about this answer.
I absolutely loved Shine by Lauren Myracle! I thought it was a wonderful telling of a story that I felt passionate about. (My Review.)
And of course, as a kid I loved Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume. (But who didn’t?)
I also think I need to give a shout out to The Book Thief by Markus Zusak!
Hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read, as a great way to find new book blogs!
Q: Q: You are a matchmaker — your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?
I would hook up Kale from Touch (Jus Accardo) and Juliette from Shatter Me (Tahereh Mafi) — mostly for the humor factor of the awkward untouchableness!
