Friday, July 6th - Comfort Reads: Which books do you go to for comfort & familiarity?  Is there a type of book you seek out when you’re needing that extra bit of comfort in your life?

Did you pick this questions specifically for me?? May and June were two of the hardest months of my life – I had a lot going on with my family and there were many times I just needed an escape! I re-read some favorites! (And I’ll just go ahead and do it in pictures!)

*Although I’ll also add to the list! Anything by Susan Mallery, Shannon Stacey and Susan Wiggs’ Lakeshore Chronicles books! Those three are like wrapping myself up in a nice warm blanket and giving myself a hug.

Q: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don’t like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place

I have several books that I very vividly remember changing my mind about a specific genre.

Across the Universe by Beth Revis : I HATE Sci Fi – but I loved these books. I still haven’t read another Sci-Fi book (other than A Million Suns, the sequel) but I am open to finding another – Any Sci Fi recommendations??

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and Bossypants by Tina Fey really got me into reading memoirs, which was something I had never really done before (probably because I’d never read any good ones *lol* )
