As usual, I feel a twinge in my solar plexus at how handsome he looks, especially since he’s wearing jeans and not the cargo pants he couldn’t find because I hid them behind the dryer. There’s no sign of a fanny pack.

I’m with you on quite a few of those! However I had an English teacher who loved Lord of the Flies (maybe too much) so I’ve read that one. Also I have to include myself in the Pride and Prejudice group and couldn’t say how many times I’ve picked up that book. Somehow when I started writing Historical Romance I thought all romance writers knew Jane Austin! What a fun topic for this week!

Good idea for a list!! I haven’t read Pride and Prej either and probably won’t (but it does feel like everyone has read it!). The Shopaholic book was good and pretty funny!

Great topic! You’re so right, it seems like everyone has read Pride and Prejudice.. I still haven’t.
The Iron King and Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour are both really good, so I hope you enjoy them if you ever decide to read them. (:

I’ve read Pride & Prejudice, Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Host, Clockwork Angel and The Iron King and I really liked them. I can recommend them! Great list!

I’m disappointed in you Jac. You’ve not read LORD OF THE FLIES, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC or PRIDE AND PREJUDICE?!?!?!?!? Stop the press. Hold the phone. Do nothing else this week except read those books.

OK, while you’re at it read Clockwork Angel. It was made of awesomeness!!!!!

The host indeed. I’ve tried it once, but I didn’t like it, so it became a DNF.

I can say that there are 6 books on your list that you MUST READ! My favourites are definitely THE HOST, CLOCKWORK ANGEL (or just look at the cover — it’s super gorgeous!), and AMY & ROGER’S EPIC DETOUR. It’s so hard to keep up with reading — it seems that there are a handful of books added to my wishlist each day.

Meanwhile, I’ve heard awesome things about that Meg Cabot series — it looks super cute!

I have only read 3 of these books, myself: The Host, The Iron King, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. But I know what you mean! And I plan on reading Pride and Prejudice soon, because I own it and I’m currently obsessed with the YouTube vlog, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Plus I enjoyed the film and the BBC movie Lost in Austen, so I really think I need to read it! I also really feel like I need to read Lord of the Flies, because I seem to see a lot of references to it in reviews of dystopian books.

And I definitely recommend The Host and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. I enjoyed The Iron King as well, and it’s good, but not as good as The Host and WG, WG. If you like Stephenie Meyer, you need to read The Host. Especially if you like Science Fiction. And if you like John Green, you should read WG, WG. It’s one of my favorites of his, along with The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns.

Ahh, we read the same books! You just reminded me that Meg Cabot’s new book came out today. Also, I just read Pride and Prejudice for the first time last year.
