TGIF / Follow Friday

Brought to you by the lovely Ginger @ GReads

Friday, August 24th - Back to School Reading: Which books would you like to see in today’s high school Literature classrooms?

I would love to see Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird back in schools. (At least where I live, it’s been taken out!)

When I was in high school that book was so real to me, and I felt like it was one of those reads that sticks with you and teaches you lessons about life. Unfortunately, it’s too “controversial” for kids today apparently. (*Insert Eye Rolling*) Because in a world where we can’t even keep score at children’s sporting events, we need to be sure and shelter our high school students too.

Hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read, as a great way to find new book blogs!

Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?

Oh! This is so easy… SO easy. (Only it’s an entire series – but I’ll just link the first cover.) Seriously – it held me back from reading these because I HATED the covers. But? I adored every minute of them.
