A Little Night Magic

The truth finally settled around me only once I was in the dark, on my bed. I just barely see the outline of the mug bunny scooting around my bed, glimmers of reflected moonlight shimmering off the smooth ceramic, and one moment, I was watching it, removed from everything. Then it tumbled off the side, and something inside of me shot to life.

That was the moment when I accepted that this was all real, that there were people in the world that had magical power and I was one of them.
