Let me start by saying that this is so NOT my typical genre of book, but when Down to You started popping up all over the blogosphere I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist. I mean, look at that cover!! YES, look again! (STOP LICKING YOUR SCREEN!!) So, I snagged it from Amazon and immediately started reading. I started at 4:30 in the afternoon and was done by the time I finally sat down to eat supper around 6:45! (Seriously – it’s that quick and that good!)
Before I jump into the actual review – I will state my one negative thought. Cash and Nash. Really? REALLY? (Yep; the names really bugged me for some reason – normally I’m all for creative use of names. But for some reason, Nash was just too much for me.)
Ok – review time!
We have two incredibly yummy brothers. Twins! **SWOON** (And the first time we meet Cash? Well, let me tell you that this book is STEAMING HOT from page one. And You will be swooning for Cash in ways you didn’t realize possible from the very start!) And these two brothers lead to some pretty laughable moments! (Including Olivia, our heroine, not realizing they are twins when she first meets Nash AFTER her run-in with Cash.) So – what you need to take away from this? Cash is a lickable bad boy who owns a rockin’ club and rides a motorcycle. (Yes, I did just say lickable. No, I will not take it back.) And Nash? He’s the handsome, responsible twin. (Unfortunately, he’s also dating Olivia’s cousin – which was a HUGE disappointment to me, seeing as that nearly immediately took him off the market for her!)
And Olivia? She’s fabulous. She seems a bit naive, but at the core? She’s just your average girl! Which I love. I could be Olivia. (And therefor, I could snag myself a Cash and/or a Nash!) She’s loyal to her family, her friends and even her cousin who she can’t so much stand but wants to jump her boyfriend!
This story is great – it had me laughing, swooning and blushing the whole way through! And there is a slight cliffhanger, which means there will be a book 2!!! I have to warn you, my friends, there is a twist. One I’m still not sure about. (I sort of saw it coming, but was hoping it wasn’t…) And I’m anxious to hear what you all think of the twist.
To wrap this up? I LOVED Down To You. I devoured it, and I’m pretty sure you will too. I would recommend it to anyone (18+, of course!) who wants a sexy bad boy, a successful boy next door or just a good roll between the sheets!!
