My Thoughts
As soon as I finished reading Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis, I did two things. First, I downloaded the second book in the Lucky Harbor Series (The Sweetest thing) and then I sat down to write my review. Unfortunately, a review for this one didn’t come as easily as it normally does. I was still digesting the book, still lingering in the afterglow – if you will!

This being my first Jill Shalvis book, I wasn’t really sure what to expect – and I was blown away. Her writing gripped me from page one (as Maddie nearly runs a mysterious – and sexy – motorcyclist off the road!) and had me turning the pages until I was finished. The town of Lucky Harbor (near Seattle – are all romance novels near Seattle?? LOL!) is such a quaint little town, where gossip flows like the river and there are no secrets. Except for the few that Maddie’s sisters are keeping – and one big one that had me guessing until the very end! (Which, by the way, huge kudos on that!! I love when there are nice large surprises in my romance novels!)

Now- Maddie and Jax? (I adore all men named Jax. It’s a given… even if we do share a name! LOL!) Their romance is fabulous – all hot and tingly and filled with more chemistry than a science lab! (And then there’s a scene with a washing machine and the spin cycle – but I’ll let you read that one for yourself!)

Really, hands down – if you have yet to read the Lucky Harbor series? Grab this one and jump in! You absolutely won’t regret it!
