MY THOUGHTS:
Stealing Parker was one of my most anticipated books of 2012! I fell in love with Miranda Kenneally (and her writing) when I read Catching Jordan, and I absolutely could not wait to read Stealing Parker. For the most part, I avoided reviews (although I did read two from respected bloggers) before I started – I find a book more delicious when I don’t know what I’m getting into!

Well, this one definitely did not disappoint me! Miranda Kenneally addressed several extremely difficult subjects in an absolutely wonderful manner. This one has religion, sex, sexuality, drugs, alcohol and student/teacher relationships. But, she does it well. It all makes sense, and it not only drags you into the book, it emotionally hooks you onto the characters. You find yourself wanting the best outcome for (almost) all of the characters.

I loved Jordan (from Catching Jordan) but I can’t even begin to explain my connection to Parker. I loved her like a little sister, and that includes all of the protective tendencies that come along with that. I truly wanted her to be happy, find herself and come to peace in her relationship with God. She is such a dynamic character, well rounded yet flawed character.

And her friends and family? I wanted each of them to get the ending they deserved. (Take that as you will!! Castration may apply in some cases.)

I absolutely adored Stealing Parker and it is well worth every single heart/star I have given it. Would I recommend this book? MOST DEFINITELY! If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading a Miranda Kenneally book, I hope you do yourself a favor and rush out to get your hands on one of these books! The ending of Stealing Parker will leave you counting the days until her next book, Things I Can’t Forget, comes out! (Which is just a few days before my birthday, so if any of you want to buy me a present??)
