MY THOUGHTS:

It’s been awhile since a book has kept me up late into the night, anxiously turning the pages. But The Perfect Play did just that!! Jaci Burton has become one of my go-to authors over the course of a weekend as I have devoured her books.

Sure, this book is a steamy one, but there is so much more to it. As a lifelong football fan (although I prefer college to the pros -Go Big Red!!!) I was excited to dive into the story of Mick Riley (and with a cover like this? What female wouldn’t be?!?) but what I wasn’t expecting was to fall (gushingly) in love. Mick has many depths to him, including a fantastic family, a bitchy agent and a mysterious secret.

Then there is Tara, the single mom who is an open book. She has the real Cinderella story, turning her life with a not so beautiful childhood into a smashing success. She is one of the heroines you can’t help but love from the moment she steps onto the page.

And this story is filled with fabulous secondaries! Tara’s teenage son, Mick’s evil villain of an agent, and a family that is so awesome it rivals Shannon Stacey’s Kowalski family! (Which regular readers will know I hold near and dear to my heart.)

If your looking for a great romance, with LOTS of steam? The Perfect Play is for you! I highly recommend this one (so long as you’re old enough!) but be warned, it’ll keep you up way past your bedtime! (And your significant other will probably be thanking me for recommending this book too!!)
